You asked about my love
Thousands of jasmine flowers
Overflowing from my chest
Originating at the arteries of my heart, through my blood,
Blossoming within each of my cells ;
Into the air
Yellow and white flowers
Crawling from my soul
Spilling onto the ground
Scattering all over the floor
Vine plants climbing the walls of your home
Filling every little crack
My love, like jasmine flowers,
Encompasses all things
And floats in the atmosphere
Like an intoxicating, tenacious, musky perfume
And I left my petals at your closed door.
And if jasmines prefer warmth, sun, and shelter
My love is selfless,
It still pours like fresh rain
No matter the season
Winter, Fall, Spring, Summer
Through heat waves and the coldest weather
My eternal flowers leave you soaked
With the smell of jasmine.
